On January 22, 2026, our Technology Day »Beyond POCT« took place in Potsdam. Together with our guests, we addressed the question of which factors are crucial for reliable rapid tests – from sampling and pre-analysis to analysis and the systems used.

In short keynote speeches, our experts presented various technological approaches, including smart membranes, sustainable coatings, aptamers, and liposome-based signal amplifiers. The presentations provided a concise overview of current developments and showed how a wide variety of technologies can be used in rapid tests.

Afterwards, personal exchange took center stage. Based on specific use cases and demonstrations, applications for various sample matrices such as blood, saliva, urine, or nasal secretions were discussed. The open laboratories also provided space for insights and small group discussions.

The event concluded with a get-together, which provided an opportunity for further discussions, new contacts, and a relaxed end to the day. Many thanks to all participants for the open exchange and interest.
