The Branch of Bioanalytics and Bioprocesses at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI-BB conducts its research with a focus on innovations in the fields of food and environmental analysis, diagnostics, drug development and process engineering.

The interdepartmental combination of engineering expertise and biomedical and chemistry know-how is what sets the institute apart in the areas of sensor technology, biotechnology production methods and automation, as well as nano- and microsystems engineering.
