Medical cannabis must undergo an identity check in pharmacies, which can be performed using a test kit with a rapid color reaction as an alternative to thin-layer chromatography. Our rapid test provides semi-quantitative information on the THC/CBD content of cannabis samples in just five minutes. The test can be performed with dried cannabis flowers or extracts. The THC/CBD ratio is read from the color of the reaction solution. The test is easy to use and can be performed without prior knowledge or special equipment.

We synthesize food toxins within a few hours and with a high degree of flexibility. Using cell-free protein synthesis, we produce food toxins that are challenging to express, such as bacterial toxins or emetic toxins. For the synthesis, we use cell lysates from Sf21, HEK, K562, CHO, or E. coli cells. In a comprehensive process tailored to the protein and your application, we can functionally characterize various toxins such as pore-forming toxins, bacterial superantigens, heat-stable toxins, or toxins from enterohaemorrhagic bacteria, and modify them for your applications. Depending on the toxin, we can test the proteins for hemolysis, pore formation, or cellular toxicity. The cell-free protein synthesis platform is high-throughput and ideal for screening various food-associated toxins.
